“We decided to put these silver bobby pins on each side so that there’s some sort of finished detail,” Smith says. “We’re using some of the shine serum in the hair to sort of lay it down and create a glossy, not-so-wet look. Every model has her own length so there’s a little bit of individuality with that. We’re finishing with the bobby pins by laying our hands on top and securing the pins. There’s something kind of futuristic about it. It’s a pretty simple detail but it makes this style completely achievable at home.” “Use a product that feels like a conditioner but is really a styling product, something that has a hand lotion feel to it,” Smith advises. “You can seal the hair with a flat iron for a more polished look that stands up to the elements.”

How to Create this Futuristic Sleek Style at Home

Step 1: Start by washing your hair with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Keratin Smooth Conditioner to tame frizzy strands and flyaways and prep your hair from the start. Step 2: Apply TRESemmé TRES Two Mousse from the roots to the ends of your hair, then blow-dry your hair straight while setting it with your natural part.   Step 3: Add just a small amount of the TRESemmé TRES Two Gel to the roots with the help of a fine-tooth comb. This will help you achieve even consistency. Step 4: Slide seven bobby pins in line with the back of your ear on the ride sidelight the smooth side visible and repeat this same technique on the other side. Step 5: Finish the look with TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Hold Hair Spray for extra long hold. Looking for more NYFW coverage? Check out the ‘Sleek is Chic’ look from Carolina Herrera NYFW SS ’18.
