It made him so happy that he saved the feet and put them in a special box in our closet. Sometimes it’s the littlest things.”

This idea is so simple you could whip it up in minutes, it’s so simple you’re going to want to PIN it so you’ve got it as a ‘go-to’ idea next time you’re in a pinch. We’re always trying to come up with new ways to express love for our spouses and you know we love any twist on love notes out there!
Like Candice said – It’s the simple things that make a big difference in marriage. Carisa from Messes to Memories whipped up some bright and fun printables to make it a little easier for you to pull off your own trail of love to surprise your sweetheart.
How cute are these footprints?!?! Our printables include 3 different footprint styles… a high heel for a wife to leave for her husband to follow, a normal shoe footprint and then a barefoot print! Just print and cut and you have the makings of a fun, bright trail of love!
We also added some cute arrows to point the way and love note shapes to write notes along the trail.
After writing your notes, you can add the cute little hearts to your trail and a sweet treat like kisses or Hershey’s nuggets. I’d follow any trail adorned with chocolate!
After my husband saw the footprints he commented how funny it would be to start the trail with the high heel print and then have a pair of high heels followed by the bare feet. He got a little carried away saying it would be even better if there were clothes strewn across the floor as the trail went on…
I bet you can imagine how your spouse would react to YOU being the surprise at the end of the trail 😉 We hope you love this fun idea! Be sure to grab your printables below!
